I was the Lead Game Designer, with a secondary role as a Graphic Designer, of the competitive board game Trials of the Goddess. The game was developed over the course of 10 weeks. I was responsible for organizing and managing the efforts of my teammates to make the project a reality, as well as designing the core systems and mechanics of the game. I also worked on some of the graphic design, primarily the game board and the Hero cards.
In Trials of the Goddess, up to four players attempt to overcome the trials and challenges of Aephrys, the Goddess of Honor. Players begin the game as legendary heroes, but the physical and psychological traumas inflicted by the trials progressively weaken their characters throughout the game. The players must battling horrific monsters and overcoming treacherous obstacles in a Norse mythology-inspired setting in order to ascend into godhood.
